Pokaiņi forest - never used for oreinteering!
One of the most interesting and specific terrains, which has always been related to numerous legends. Mostly mixed tree forest, where the good runnability fir tree forest mixes with newly grown forest of various age and running possibilities. A part of the competition terrain is covered with a thick network of paths and trails. However the rest of the terrain is not regularly covered with trails. The forms of relief in the area are rather apparent and have many depressions with small swamps. There are many stone piles and various outstanding stones of different sizes. Maximum height difference 45 metres.
